What does Friends of Birds Hill Park do?

• Support opportunities for experiencing and enjoying Birds Hill Park that are compatible with its ecological preservation.
  
  
• Foster an understanding of the Park's natural history and minimize human impacts on the ecosystem by supporting education programs that enhance community awareness and stewardship of Birds Hill Park.
  
  
• Support (low impact) outdoor recreational activities.
  
  
• Support diverse and dispersed activities and uses to minimize user conflict and congestion and ensure a safe experience for Park users.
  
  
• Raise funds to undertake projects and activities that support our mission.
  
  
• Broaden and diversify membership and participation in an organization that strives to fulfill its mission in a manner that is meaningful, fun and fulfilling for its members.
  
  Following up on the 2008-2012 Strategic Plan, the Board has developed an Annual Activity Plan that outlines priority activities for 2008-09.
